The past week saw the following outcomes for University at Albany sports:

Tuesday, Feb. 20:
Men’s lacrosse fell to Penn 11-7. The Great Danes took 45 shots, with 24 shots on goal, recording 15 turnovers. Silas Richmond and Graydon Hogg led in goals with two each. Alex Pfeiffer led in assists with two. Goalkeeper Landon Whitney recorded nine saves. UAlbany fell to a record of 0-2 with the loss.
Women’s lacrosse fell to Brown 14-10. The Great Danes took 23 shots, with 16 shots on goal, recording 19 turnovers. Courtney Rowe led in goals with four, and goalkeeper Grace Cincebox recorded 12 saves. UAlbany fell to a record of 0-4 with the loss.
Men’s track and field placed first at the America East Indoor Championships with 165 points. Shak Williams, Shavar Staats Jr., and Lucas Casab placed first, second, and third, respectively, in the 60m. Travis Robinson won the men's shot put with a mark of 60-09.50, a personal best. Williams was named Outstanding Track Performer and Robinson was named Outstanding Field Performer.
Women’s track and field placed first at the America East Indoor Championships with 191 points. Amelia Benjamin won the high jump with a mark of 5-10.75, a personal best. Leann Nicholas won the triple jump with a mark of 41-02.50. Benjamin was named Outstanding Field Performer.
Thursday, Feb. 22:
Men’s basketball fell to Vermont 94-80. The Great Danes shot 46.8% from the field on 29-62 shooting, going 11-25 from the 3-point arc and 11-14 from the free throw line. Tyler Bertram led in points with 27, followed by Sebastian Thomas with 19, and Amar’e Marshall with 14. Thomas led in assists with four, and Muneer Newton in rebounds with seven. UAlbany fell to a record of 12-15, with a 4-8 record in the America East.
Women’s basketball fell to Vermont 67-35. The Great Danes shot 28.9% from the field on 13-45 shooting, going 4-12 from the 3-point arc and 5-11 from the free throw line. Kayla Cooper led in points with 13. Cooper and Lilly Phillips led in rebounds with five. Phillips, Abby Ray, and Marie Sepp led in assists with two. UAlbany fell to a record of 22-4, with a 11-2 record in the America East.
Friday, Feb. 23:
Men’s track and field competed in the Fastrack Last Chance Meet. Shak Williams placed second in the 60m dash with a mark of 6.77.
Baseball fell to Tennessee 8-5. The Great Danes recorded seven hits and two errors. Mike Prisco recorded a home run and three RBI’s. Owen Birkman pitched 5.0 innings, recorded three strikeouts, and was charged with the loss. UAlbany fell to a record of 0-1.
Softball fell to NC State 9-0. The Great Danes recorded just one hit, off the bat of Maddi Petrella. Wendi Hammond pitched 4.0 innings and was charged with the loss as UAlbany fell to a record of 0-1.
Saturday, Feb. 24:
Men’s basketball fell to UMass Lowell 104-95. The Great Danes shot 46.8% from the field on 36-77 shooting, going 8-21 from the 3-point arc and 15-19 from the free throw line. Sebastian Thomas led in scoring with 42 points, followed by Amar’e Marshall with 23. Thomas and Marshall led in assists with two each, and Aaron Reddish led in rebounds with six. UAlbany now stands at a record of 12-16, with a 4-9 record in the America East.
Women’s basketball beat to UMass Lowell 59-39. The Great Danes shot 55.6% from the field on 25-45 shooting, going 2-8 from the 3-point arc and 7-8 from the free throw line. Deja Evans led in scoring with 15 points, followed by Kayla Cooper with 10. Evans led in rebounds with seven, and Cooper in assists with five. UAlbany now stands at a record of 23-4, with a 12-2 record in the America East.
Men’s lacrosse fell to Drexel 13-12. The Great Danes took 54 shots, with 29 shots on goal, recording 15 turnovers. Jackson Palumb led in goals with three, and goalkeeper Landon Whitney recorded 14 saves. UAlbany now stands at a record of 0-3.
Baseball fell to Tennessee 21-6. The Great Danes recorded 12 hits and two errors. Ryan Ferremi recorded a home run and two RBI’s, and Will Binder recorded an additional two RBI’s. Connor Eisenmann pitched 3.1 innings and was charged with the loss as UAlbany fell to a record of 0-2.
Softball fell to NC State 13-1. The Great Danes recorded just two hits, off the bats of Jordan Nastos and Maddi Petrella. Dominique Prevette pitched four innings and was charged with the loss as UAlbany fell to a record of 0-2.
Softball fell to Iona 12-9. The Great Danes recorded 11 hits and two errors. Maddi Petrella recorded a home run and three RBI’s, and Mary Kate Murray recorded two RBI’s. Wendi Hammond pitched 6.2 innings and was charged with the loss as UAlbany fell to a record of 0-3.
Sunday, Feb. 25:
Women’s lacrosse fell to James Madison 21-12. The Great Danes took 24 shots, with 22 shots on goal, recording 15 turnovers. Grace McCauley led in goals with five, and Bryar Hogg in assists with three. Grace Cincebox recorded six saves. UAlbany now stands at a record of 0-5.
Baseball fell to Tennessee 12-0. The Great Danes recorded just one hit, off the bat of Will Binder. Thomas Quinn pitched 2.2 innings and was charged with the loss as UAlbany fell to a record of 0-3.
Softball beat Iona 10-7. The Great Danes recorded ten hits. Morgan Petty led in RBI’s with three, and Maddi Petrella and Victoria Vilarchao recorded two each. Wendi Hammond pitched 5.2 innings and earned the win as UAlbany now stands at a record of 1-3.
