The past week saw the following outcomes for University at Albany sports:

Tuesday, April 1:

Men’s lacrosse fell to Cornell 18-11. The Great Danes took 31 shots, with 17 shots on goal, and recorded 17 turnovers. Silas Richmond led UAlbany with four goals, and also led in assists alongside Koleton Marquis with two each. Goalkeeper Brady Smith recorded 11 saves. The Great Danes fell to an overall record of 3-8.


Softball beat CCSU 9-0 in five innings in their first game of a double-header. The Great Danes record 11 hits and zero errors. Victoria Vilarchao led UAlbany with four RBI’s. Kate Powers pitched a complete game, recorded seven strikeouts, allowed zero runs and earned the win. The Great Danes improved to an overall record of 12-15.


Softball beat CCSU 2-0 in their second game of a double-header. The Great Danes recorded five hits and zero errors. Caitlyn Frederick led UAlbany with two RBI’s. Hailey Errichiello pitched 4.0 innings, recorded five strikeouts, allowed zero runs and earned the win. The Great Danes improved to an overall record of 13-15.


Baseball fell to Siena 12-7. The Great Danes recorded six hits and four errors. Levi McAllister led UAlbany with three RBI’s. Ethan Nardacci pitched 4.0 innings, recorded three strikeouts and allowed one earned run and three runs total, while Mark Gajowski pitched 1.0 innings, allowed two earned runs and six runs total and was charged with the loss.. The Great Danes fell to an overall record of 9-14.


Friday, April 4:

Softball beat UMass Lowell 8-0 in five innings in their first game of a double-header. The Great Danes recorded six hits and zero errors. Mary Kate Murray led UAlbany with three RBI’s. Kate Powers pitched a complete game, recorded four strikeouts, allowed zero runs and earned the win. The Great Danes improved to an overall record of 14-15 and a 4-2 record in America East play.


Softball beat UMass Lowell 6-5 in their second game of a double-header. The Great Danes recorded five hits and one error. Victoria Vilarchao led UAlbany with two RBI’s. Hailey Errichiello pitched 4.1 innings, recorded five strikeouts, allowed one run and earned the win. The Great Danes now stand at an overall record of 15-15 and a 5-2 record in America East play.


Baseball fell to NJIT 3-1. The Great Danes recorded five hits and one error. Cooper Loyal knocked in the team’s lone RBI. Dylan Banner pitched 7.0 innings, recorded five strikeouts, allowed three earned runs and was charged with the loss. The Great Danes fell to a 9-15 overall record and a 3-4 record in America East play.


Saturday, April 5:

Women’s lacrosse beat New Hampshire 17-4. The Great Danes recorded 43 shots, with 22 shots on goal, and recorded 17 turnovers. Dylana Williams led UAlbany with four goals, while Ava Poupard led in assists with two. Goalkeeper Grace Cincebox recorded seven saves. The Great Danes now stand at an overall record of 4-8 with a 2-1 record in America East play.


Men’s lacrosse beat Binghamton 11-9. The Great Danes recorded 36 shots, with 21 shots on goal, and recorded 18 turnovers. Alex Pfeiffer led UAlbany with three goals, and Silas Richmond led in assists with three. Goalkeeper Brady Smith recorded 10 saves. The Great Danes now stand at an overall record of 4-8 with a 2-2 record in America East play.


Baseball fell to NJIT 7-1. The Great Danes recorded four hits and one error. Levi McAllister knocked in the team’s lone RBI. Tyler Kneller pitched 4.0 innings, recorded two strikeouts, allowed five earned runs and six runs total and was charged with the loss. The Great Danes fell to a 9-16 overall record and a 3-5 record in America East play.


Sunday, April 6:

Baseball fell to NJIT 7-5. The Great Danes recorded nine hits and one error. Anthony Scarabino led UAlbany with two RBI’s. Matthew Mariano pitched 4.0 innings, recorded three strikeouts, allowed two earned runs and four runs total and was charged with the loss. The Great Danes now stand at an overall record of 9-16 and a 3-6 record in America East play.
