A female student was reportedly attacked on Wednesday last week while walking on a path behind Empire Commons on the University at Albany Uptown Campus, according to an email sent by University Police that same day.
The student told UPD that an unknown woman attacked her with a “sharp object” while walking down a wooded path that leads to Fuller Road. The student retained minor injuries but did not require hospitalization, according to the email.
The suspect is described as a “possible white female, approximately 5’4” and 100 lbs., mid-30s, wearing a black hat, black hoodie and black pants at the time.”
It is unclear if the suspect has been apprehended, but the charge associated with the attack is currently Assault in the Second Degree with intent to Cause Physical Injury with a Weapon.
