With less than 80 days until UAlbany’s commencement ceremony, the university looks to hold its first in-person ceremony since Spring 2019.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the university has had to hold the last two commencement ceremonies remotely. Nearly two years later, UAlbany will be holding an in-person ceremony for this year’s graduates. The commencement dates will be held between May 12 to 15 for all students who are graduating this semester.
4,896 students participated in the 2021 commencement ceremony, including students who graduated in 2020, according to Jordan Carleo-Evangelist, the university spokesperson.
This year, the university will be distributing an estimated 4,000 degrees and certificates to all undergraduates who will be graduating this semester. More definitive numbers will be released closer to the end of the semester..
The university’s website details more information on scheduling and events to come for 2022 graduates.
