This summer, the University at Albany will host a plethora of summer camps catered to teens. The topics of the camps vary, allowing students to find an opportunity that fits their interests. Students must register at least two weeks before the start date of their respective camps. Spots are first-come first-serve with limited space.
Opportunities include STEM camps that include areas like coral ecology, cybersecurity and forensic science & investigation. There will also be art and writing camps that include focuses such as dark room photography and college portfolio prep. Other miscellaneous camps include opportunities like Spanish language immersion and archaeology. For students with an interest in eSports or Color Guard, there will be camps focusing on those areas as well.
“UAlbany’s camps offer students a unique opportunity to engage with each other in a supportive and dynamic environment that fosters independence and exploration,” Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Ed Engelbride said. “We are excited to introduce them to our campus and world-class resources, which can inspire their dreams for the future.”
A majority of the camps begin in July with sessions usually spanning one or two weeks. Students are expected to bring their own lunch and snacks. The camps run from 8:30am to 4:30pm and students are required to submit a medical form when registering.
The price for the camps range anywhere from no fee to $1,200, with some eligible for payment waivers based on financial needs of applicants. For more detailed information about each camp being offered and contact information for those running the camps, refer to the UAlbany 2025 Summer Camps web page.
